Artist Statement

My work tends to look very playful. I use a lot of objects and animals to symbolize myself; almost everything ends up feeling like a self portrait. I don't have one topic I consistently make work about. The content changes often, sometimes it's heavy topics dealing with memory or the complete opposite, focusing on fairy tales and childhood. Everything is handled with equal importance. In the end, my work often has to do with preservation, whether preservation is possible, and how we try to achieve it.
